Parents' DBT Group
Be Part of the Solution | Not the Conflict
At Inspired, we’ve seen it time and again: teens, young
adults, and adults do best when their parents and family
members speak the same DBT language. This Massachusetts
group is designed to help parents gain the skills, strategies, and
confidence to support their loved one and take care of
themselves in the process.
Why Join the DBT Parent Group?
Parenting someone with emotion regulation challenges
can be exhausting, confusing, and isolating. This group
gives you a roadmap to:
-
Communicate more effectively (without escalating the conversation)
-
Manage your own anxiety during emotionally charged moments
-
Respond constructively to mood swings, shutdowns, or crisis behaviors
-
Build a more connected, supportive relationship with your child
What You’ll Learn
-
Skills to de-escalate conflict and help your teen feel heard
-
Strategies to balance limits with empathy, without giving in or giving up
-
Tools to recognize when behavior is normal vs. a red flag
-
Safety planning skills for moments of crisis, including self-harm risks
This group is for any parent who wants to stop walking on eggshells and start working with their child, not against them.
Let us help you feel supported, equipped, and part of the path forward.
