A Little Bit About Jillian...
I grew up in the suburbs close to Boston and have lived in the same house my whole life. I spend a lot of time with family, friends, and my dog. I love traveling, going for walks, working out, shopping, swimming, and of course the beach! I appreciate a good movie night with some popcorn and candy. I am often told I have a “goofy” sense of humor.
Why Did You Become a Therapist?
I spent my time as an undergrad trying to figure out what the best career path was for me. While working with adolescents in a residential setting, I made the decision to pursue a career in clinical social work. Fueled by my passion, I wanted to help create more awareness of the challenges individuals face and work to end the stigma they encounter by normalizing discussions around mental health. I believe that one’s mental health is just as important as their physical health and should be given that same priority.
