A Little Bit About Amanda...

I grew up on the South Shore of MA. The neighborhood I grew up in was filled with kids, so much of my time was spent outside with the neighborhood kids. I’d spend much of my summers in York Beach, ME, with family. This is my favorite place to this day. As a kid, I dreamt of getting married in York and taking my own children there for summers. In 2022, I got engaged in York and later that year welcomed my first baby, a girl! She is my best friend and became the best big sister ever, recently, when we welcomed our baby boy! My dreams have become a reality and we frequent York Beach with the kids! They love the ocean just as much as their Mama! Becoming a mom has been my greatest accomplishment yet!

I attended a small college, where after a Sociology course, I realized my interest lay with human behavior. At the time, I

didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to help

people. I spent many years after college working with

survivors of domestic violence and in forensics. These

experiences made me realize I wanted to pursue my Masters Degree in Social Work. My goal in doing this type of work has always been quite simple, to help people.

  • Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Dean College

  • Masters Degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State University

  • Massachusetts Licensed Clinical Social Worker

  • Behavioral Tech DBT Training

  • Clinician at Bridgewater State Hospital

  • Victim/ witness Advocate and Forensic Interviewer at the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office

  • Emergency Guest Shelter Advocate at DOVE

  • I could live off of McDonald’s

  • I love dogs but am very allergic to them

  • I am extremely shy and my biggest fear is public speaking

Best Goal:

To exercise as often as possible

Best Habit:

Being proactive, not reactive.

Best Reason to be Happy:

My babies.

Best Legal Route to Joy:

Being near water.

Best Flaw:

Being protective (sometimes overly) of the people i love.

Best Accomplishment:

Again, my babies!

Best Motto:

Today is tomorrows yesterday.

Best Under-Appreciated Skill:

As a mom of two babies under 2, definitely multitasking!
