A Little Bit About Claire...

I grew up on the South Shore of MA in a small neighborhood on the water, I cherish the moments spent with friends in that tight nit community. I am the daughter of Irish immigrants and loved getting to spend summers in Ireland with my family. I am the youngest of 4 children, and the only girl! I also became an aunt when I was 2, needless to say my niece and I were more like sisters. Over the years I had the opportunity to become an aunt to 8 amazing boys and girls, and great aunt to 2! I married my husband and best friend in May 2017 and my greatest joy came in the Fall of 2022 when I gave birth to a little boy, he is my whole heart. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have a love for all types of music and have been known to rock a karaoke stage on occasion. I pride myself on having a good (unique) sense of humor and I find joy in making people laugh, I truly believe that a day without laughter is a day wasted.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?

I attended a small undergraduate college where i studied Psychology and Gender Studies, I have always been fascinated by human behavior and the ability of individuals to not only survive but thrive, even under the most difficult of circumstances. I quickly knew that I wanted to play a role in helping people become the best version of themselves. Upon graduation I took a year to work as a community support worker in the Boston area, providing social and therapeutic support to the most vulnerable of populations. My love for helping others is what provided me with the drive to pursue my masters in social work, which i received from Simmons College in 2016. At the end of the day, if nothing else, I just want to bring positivity and hope to anyone looking for it.
